Augmented Motion

The goal of this assignment was to edit a video to enhance a person or object’s dynamic motion. Using After Effects, I decided to completely recontextualize the motion, adding original assets that didn’t appear in the original footage. To keep in mind the goal of the assignment – to enhance captured dynamic motion – I focused on the moment the mug makes contact with the table, adding a little blip of motion through a couple of animated lines. I also did the same thing at the point the mug slides across the table. The same was done for the sushi as well. The third point of impact is when the liquid drops down. The motion of the external assets was created using Photoshop, drawing, duplicating, then altering the original to make gifs.
